No Time!

Our online business hasn't lived up to our expectations because, well ........ because we just don't have the time to mess with it now. An infant burns WAY MORE time than anyone without children could imagine. So it is going to have to hibernate for a while, until we have the time to pursue it properly.

Wow! Attempting to start an online business sure consumes a lot of time! This is not always adequately explained, but 99.999% of all success comes after lots and lots and lots of dedicated time and effort.

Because of this, I may not get this business up and running as quickly as I hoped. Currently we do have a much higher priority, namely, our young, (3+ months old), son.

I did create a blog for my Sweetie, which will describe her experiences here in this "cold, very cold!" country. The idea is that we will provide useful content for people in that blog, (other than, "make lots of money fast!!"), and then more gently guide them into purchasing products we are affiliated with.

I haven't tried a squidoo yet ..... maybe "Would Michael Jackson have made millions with MOIS?" would be a hit?

I made a comment today on the blog where I first read about MOIS, (and also the webpage that I clicked thru to buy it). Here it is:

"Okay ....... we signed up for this course, and while it looks simple enough for anyone to follow, (maybe even me!), I have reservations about the method, namely writing basically content-free articles and webpages. (As for grabbing emails and spamming folks ....... UGH!! NO THANKS!!)"

"I am not necessarily saying it is a bad course, and truth be told I haven't even finished it yet, but I wish there was some discussion up front about putting something of value out on the web, rather than just trying to drive traffic to your online advertisements."

Understand that I am only on about Day 10 of a 60 day course, so there are LOTS of things I have not learned yet. But I do believe that if we expect people to visit our websites and maybe click thru to a product we are offering, then we should make some attempt to have meaningful content on our page. It doesn't have to be momentous, like a cure for all forms of cancer, (wouldn't that be cool!), but could be as simple as a joke of the day, or a nice thought, or ...... I don't know! How about a wish for Peace? (Ahh ..... how cute!)

We added the links to our other "money making" webpages today, and considered a change in direction. Looking at what other people have been doing with MOIS, (for example, see this page), we have decided to treat this as a learning experience, rather than expecting to get rich. (In other words, we won't be quitting our day jobs anytime soon!)

The Beginning

It all began July 28th, 2009. We were looking for a home-based business, and stumbled upon "My Online Income System" . This product looked good, and most of the feedback on the 'net was very positive, so we took the plunge.

MOIS, as the product, (or course? technique?), is known, is a method of creating an affiliate business. We have our first webpage already!

We are excited about our prospects, and will of course be updating this blog with our progress.
